Gordon Carmichael Death, Obituary: 15-year-old Greenbrier High School Student Killed in Evans Car Crash

The Greenbrier High School student, 15, lost his life in an automobile accident near Evans, Georgia, on Thursday.

Gordon Carmichael, of Evans, Georgia, is said to have driven his parents’ Jeep around after leaving home late one night. However, he lost control and collided with some pine trees on Riverwood Parkway and Amberley Drive.

When Carmichael’s mother woke up and saw him missing, she reported him missing at roughly 5:50 a.m.

Authorities discovered the teen’s body in the crash at 4:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Officials from Greenbrier High School announced on Facebook that all of Thursday’s athletic events would be canceled.

A sophomore, Carmichael played football for Greenbrier, albeit he was sidelined this fall by an injury.
