Fundraiser Started for Addiel Ortiz, Corrections Officer and Coach Killed in Accident

Addiel Ortiz, a 31-year-old father of four, was died in a motorcycle accident in Vineland, New Jersey, and has a GoFundMe page made up in his honor.

Around six o’clock in the evening, Addiel A. Ortiz, 31, of Millville, was operating a motorbike on Maple Avenue when it collided with Lauren C. Beisler, 42, of Dennis Township’s Ocean View neighborhood and her Chevrolet Traverse SUV.

Two people perished in the collision: a 9-year-old kid who was riding in the backseat of Beisler’s automobile and Ortiz, a correctional officer who volunteered as a coach.

In the Cape Atlantic Jr. Football League, Ortiz was the coach of the Vineland Blitz football club. According to New Jersey 101.5, “Coach Addi” was riding from the complex’s soccer field to the football field at the time.

In addition, he worked as a prison officer at Bayside State Prison and Southern State Correctional Facility.

Cameron, Bella, Jenna, and Avery are the four children Ortiz leaves behind, along with his fiancée Destiny. At the time of publication, $22,170 had been raised through a GoFundMe established for his family.
