Former Soledad High School Teacher Marina Ramirez Rico Arrested for Having Intercourse with 15-year-old

Marina Ramirez Rico, a former high school instructor at Soledad High School in Soledad, has been arrested for having sex with a juvenile.

Following her capture on camera engaging in sexual contact with a 15-year-old pupil, Marina Ramirez, 34, of Greenfield, California, was charged with five felonies related to having sex with a minor.

Rico was granted $50,000 bond after being taken into custody at the Monterey County Jail.

Rico was teaching at Soledad High School when the tragedy happened. He is currently a teacher at Main Street Middle School. Following her arrest, the Soledad Unified School District superintendent put her on administrative leave.

Police said that while they were executing a search warrant at the victim’s residence in connection with a firearms investigation, the case against Rico came to light. On the victim’s phone, a video of the teacher and student’s interaction was discovered during the search.

Further evidence of the crime was discovered when detectives located Rico and placed her under arrest.
