David Kimball Obituary: After leaping 3,000 feet from a ‘cursed’ Italian mountain where other individuals had also perished, an American base jumper passed away.

It’s thought that 33-year-old David Kimball fell because his parachute broke. He took a risky leap on Tuesday from the Piani dei Resinelli mountains, which are located above Abbadia Lariana in Lombardy.

He was found dead in the wooded area beneath the launch place shortly after the jump, at around 1:30 p.m., according to the local newspaper Il Giorno. Law enforcement, fire agencies, and mountain rescue teams raced to the remote spot.

It takes place in the same spot where Alessandro Fiorito, a resident of Gallarate, died 300 feet below the surface as a result of a problem with his wing suit.
