Cortez Hicks Obituary, Death: Dublin, Georgia Man Died in September 11 Shooting; Community Mourns

Cortez Hicks, 35, lost his life in a horrific shooting in Dublin, Georgia, on Wednesday afternoon.

In a residential location, there was a fatal occurrence that has shocked the community.

Local officials are actively looking into the incident’s circumstances in an effort to piece together what happened, even if many information about it are yet unknown.

Before noon, on a Saturday, there was a shooting at a house in the Dublin, Georgia community of 422 Jones Village. After being swiftly summoned to the scene, Hicks was taken to Fairview Park Hospital by ambulance.

Shortly after being brought to the hospital, he passed away from his wounds in spite of the efforts of medical personnel. Nathan Stanley, the deputy coroner for Laurens County, states that Hicks was declared deceased at around 12:24 p.m.

Local law enforcement has been aware of this unfortunate death and is currently working nonstop to determine what preceded the shooting. The case has been turned over to the Dublin Police Department, and investigators are actively pursuing leads, speaking with witnesses, and gathering information.
