Missing Nurse: Melissa Jubane Found Dead, as Neighbor Arrested – Who is Bryce Johnathan Schubert?

According to local authorities on Saturday, Melissa Jubane, a 32-year-old nurse from Oregon who had gone missing, has been found dead, and her neighbor has been charged with her murder.

Jubane, a nurse at Portland’s St. Vincent Hospital, was reported missing earlier this week during a welfare check. Her absence from work on September 4 caused her coworkers, colleagues, and family to become concerned.

A few days prior, the cardiac nurse had returned home after being married in Hawaii. The New York Post stated that on August 24, Jubane wed Bryan Llantero in Haleʻiwa, O’ahum on the island of Honolulu.

Updates from the police state that a check of her home was done, and that her lack of communication was considered “unusual and alarming,” in addition to efforts to reach the nurse during the day being fruitless. According to reports, Jubane’s phone was off, and “searches of bank and credit card records yielded no new information regarding her location.”
