His passing comes after the tragic demise of another young American, David Kimball, who perished in Europe while BASE jumping.
On Tuesday, Kimball, 33, leaped from the Piani dei Resinelli mountains in Lombardy, Italy, which are located above Obadiah Loriana.
His intended ordinary jump became deadly when he fell 3,000 feet to the ground.
Authorities in the Lombard region are looking into the unfortunate event.
